well, if they decide that its going to be heavily taxed, i am waiting on it to hit the court. it’s going to be a fiasco and will take years to resolve. i think congress needs to rethink about the process. each company should have it’s own proper set of guidelines and remember that the money is set for a purpose. there is a difference between a bonus check and retention check. contracts are proper agreements signed by the company and the individuals. that company has to live with the results and share it w/the shareholder. at that time frame the shareholders may decide to remove management. problem we are dealing with is that because we bailed out a few companies, and now become a shareholder of the company. we think that we can change the past, but in reality we can only steer the course forward. companies can be good or bad and can fail or prosper. if a company fails, then let it. why should a big company get help, when we let smaller companies fall. big companies have to learn the school of hard knocks.

again, fair trade practices? read the defination of that, folks! including our local and fed gov’t. this is why some companies will fail or others succeed.

i think now that this has happened, you will see many companies rethinking about how to structure contracts accordingly.
