Seriously, folks. This is not insurance news, even if the word “insurance” is in the story.

It occurs to me that if she was flashing the cash around that, just maybe, she deserved to have it swiped, i.e. maybe she didn’t deserve a settlement – but now I guess she gets to sue the bar for not having proper security.

Since when does an insurance company pay out claims in cash? And if she doesn’t get it from the insurance company you know a bank is not going to cash out a $27,000 check from an insurance company. So this story is telling us she got a settlement from the company, deposited the check in the bank, waited 10 days for it to clear and then went and withdrew $27,000 in cash just to show off? Some part of this story is missing, oh yeah, its the validity!

She probably used a check cashing company and not the bank. When I was an injury adjuster, I would get a few phone calls a week from check cashing places wanting to verify settlement checks. These were usually in the $5,000 range and not $27k though.

All of you,..-ALL of you, EXCEPT Mr. Anon are off target
-This little punk walks into a gin-mill with 27 grand, and flashes it around…
-So… you all portend to be swift, eagle-eyed, skillful insurance peeps….- so why have NONE of you; (other than Anon, AND me ) figured out this is B.S. story, just a smoke-screen for HER and her boyfriend..( Hell: could be girlfriend..)ripping off her boss for that 27 grand ?
Because the bottom-line is : who in their right f’in mind would walk into abar and flash 27 grand ?
Would she have done so with her OWN money.
    No.
    Have a great day !

I think Sgt. Delaney should quit his job and go into financial planning. Very insightful advice he gives….
