Be wary of what has taken place in other states that permit “anonymous” tips – the “tip” that someone is “misclassified”, or is under-reporting payrolls, or other such stuff – you will find that the tip is coming from a competitor to the insured, or another agent who lost the account to the present agent, or who may desire to steal the account from its present agent. All kinds of underhanded skullduggery will take place, to the detriment of people or businesses who have done nothing wrong.

These tip lines never work or there would be more of them. Many states have tried this and they have always ended up with a mess on their hands. There are hundreds of ways to trace the misclassifications. Using a Stalin-istic tip line is so draconian.
