This is not limited to Delaware although the ridiculous dog and pony show that has been the state’s insurance department since the 2008 elections takes credit for it as they like to do for a lot of other things that are not any of their doing. I suggest that IJ do some fact checking before printing the department’s self serving press releases verbatim.
At least the dimwit Delaware commissioner’s idiot PR man didn’t name her in the press release to the IJ as having brought about the refund that was really the result of multi-state court action against Allstate. He knows he would have been caught out by real insurance people who know their stuff, unlike he and his boss who wouldn’t know what insurance is if it bit them in their flabby hind ends.
What was the multi-state court action for this? Time to remind people again about this no show IC.
That is one heck of a refund – $17,520 for
each?!!!
$428,355 divided by 2,445 policyholders = $175.19 each.
Wow, I wish you were writing my paychecks.

Oops, my decimal was in the wrong spot; I wish I was writing my checks too but for sure they would bounce!
