208 years after the incident which many feel was the first act in the 20th Century’s Holy War, a settlement has been reached with families of the men and women who worked at the site of the original World Trade Centers in New Xanghai (formerly New York City).

Regrettably the decision coincided with the death last week of the final survivor of the group, Terry O’Malley, a retired policeman with the prior police department. Though stricken with a variety of illnesses common to many during the early decades of the 20th Century, TOM had enjoyed an active and full life as a member of the Multi-Platinum generation located on Mt. Hubris on the moon.

Lawyers for the relatives of the original plaintiffs have said that they expect to distribute the 300 billion yuan to the families, once the handling costs, transfer fees and receivable aging charges have been settled. Each family unit will need to determine how to share in their estimated 3 bushels of carrots and lettuce and the 40 gallons of purified water per plaintiff.

Judges for the Supreme Judiciary had been selected at random from the ranks of available avatars nearly 14 years ago, and while not the longest case to be tried, it does represent a milestone of sorts.

Lawyers for the plaintiffs have all elected to retire with the lion’s share of the decision and have made the first of two down payments on the planet Mars, recently planted with blonde pods in the lush jungle environment near the colony of Destiny.

The expectation is that an eventual settlement of the British Petroleum (now BP Wang Beautiful Day) lawsuit will provide sufficient funding to complete the acquisition of the planet.

I don’t see any other country paying out retirement packages to people who were injured or became ill from doing their jobs. $800,000 – $1,000,000 for someone who alleges Asthma???? These should be WC claims not the lottery. But should we be surprised? Why did the feds pay on average of $900,000 to the survivors of the people who died in the Towers? Nobody paid anybody anything when the Federal building in Oklahoma was blown up. That’s what life insurance is for. This is money grubbing at it’s best.
