My insurance career has included stops in numerous states. In every location, there has been a chapter of the Professional Insurance Women providing educational opportunities and promoting standards of conduct. These chapters represent one of the great things about our industry – people dedicated to professionalism and honing their craft. Congratulations, Ms. DiMartile.
As much as we all should be the same, we are still very much unequal. We have to remember that although we’ve come a long way, we’re not there yet. Kudos to Michelle for being involved in any organization and sticking with an industry that is known for being a “boys club.”
Michelle,
I am very proud to be serving on your board and I know that you will do wonderful things for our organization.
“An organization like this”, still exists out of pride and respect for the Women who started this organization more than 50 years ago, when women struggled to be recognized in the Insurance world. We are so much more than the Insurance Women of Buffalo. We are a part of a National Organization. If anyone would like to know more about us and NAIW, please go to http://www.naiw.org.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I am not sure our MALE members would agree with Mrs. Truth!
