My opinion is that PSM overall is a great insurance company with great products, services and agents. They also have one of the greatest CEO in America. However, underwriting managers lack the experience and expertise to retain underwriters with good sound judgement of risk and underwriters with good judgement of risk always improve and reflect the overall company loss ratio improving income and lowering claims expense, they lack communications skills to deliver information to their agents, they lack the managerial skills to stream-line redundency of work and the inability to acquire great accounts that would increase the company’s full financial potential. I have the highest respect for PSM and I wish them great success but for as long as they continue with the same “Old School” undewriting managers they will lack luster. One more thing, PSM has one of the greatest computer underwriting systems that delivers a quote within hours.
