GCube Makes Expands Underwriting and Business Development Team

Newport Beach, Calif.-based GCube has announced that Michael Durning has been named executive vice president of client relations and business development, and Al Caceres has been named senior vice president of underwriting covering all renewables. Caceres will lead the company’s underwriting and management teams.

Prior to joining GCube, Durning was most recently vice president with AEGIS Insurance Services, where he was responsible for business development, member and broker relations and transmission and distribution line coverage. Previously, he held executive positions with Marsh, NEIL (Nuclear Electric Insurance and Conventional Underwriting) and the Hartford Steam Boiler’s HSB Energy Division. He started his insurance career with FM Global more than 20 years ago.

Caceres was most recently with AEGIS Insurance Services as a senior property underwriter, responsible for underwriting operational and construction projects for power and utility, oil/gas, petrochemical companies and renewable energy projects including wind, solar and ethanol plants. Previously, he worked at AIG – World Source Property and at Starr Technical Risks Agency Inc. He began his career at Marsh as a risk analyst in the Power and Utilities Division.

Both gentlemen will work in the GCube New York office.
