I’m sure it was sold to him as “Poison” with a skull & crossbones on the bottle and that there was a great chance he would end up paralyzed and brain damaged. There’s really just no way he went to his doctor and was told this was a medicine that could treat his legitimate (non cosmetic) symptoms effectively.
It sounds like it was this mans choice so why should it be Allergen responsibility? If anyone it would be the man and the doctor who did the treatment. What has happened to people not taking responsibility for there own actions?
What people keep forgetting is that Botox is a contraction of the words Botulism Toxin. How anyone thinks it’s a good idea to inject a known & potentially lethal toxin that essentially paralyzes your muscles into your body, is beyond me.
The fact that this gentleman had a severe allergic reaction is a shame, but when you willingly have a neurotoxin injected, you take the risk.
If he had it injected into his face (as most people do) he likely would have still suffered the same problems. The location in this matter doesn’t really make much of a difference.
Isn’t it possible that the man that is sueing may not have known all the dangers involved with botox? We do not know how much about botox he does or does not know. We do not know the whole picture, so how can we pass judgement?
Any idiot who has poison injected into his body should get nothing. It is ludicrous what our society has become.
