Kudos to the Ct. Governor for taking these actions, including funding for preparedness and giving due budgetary consideration to our fickle New England weather needs. It sure beats what our Governor did here in NH, which was to create an under-funded budget and then go begging to the Feds for ‘disaster-assistance’ money for plowing snow! (Snow in New Hampshire? Who’da thunk it? – Certainly not Gov. Lynch…..).
If the USA wants to get out of financial difficulty it’s time to step up and be responsible for our own local problems (whether it’s tree-limbs, or Halloween snowstorms, or hurricane flooding) and stop asking our Federal Big Brother to bail us out.
