Waste of time and money. How much does she want? It couldn’t have been that bad of a dog bite. Hope she’s not jonesing for some “pain and suffering”.

I guess if the owners had assured her that the dog never had bit anyone and then it bit off part of her lower lip it wouldn’t be a “waste of time and money”.

Goldens are not known biters, and who knows if she somehow provoked the dog and then it bit her, or how does anyone know it was their dog at all and not someone else’s?? I just think she’s out to get more money.

I love how now is it is not only her fault, but she “provoked” the dog or even fabricated that this was in fact “the dog” I can’t stop laughing. Facebook is like a box of chocolates, you just never know what your gonna get.

This is an interesting verdict. It seems that choosing a job as a pet sitter or any other job that works with animals would be assuming some risk that the animal might bite or attack. I suppose if she were an employee of a pet sitting agency, work comp should come into play, but I’m not clear on exactly what her employment status was based on the article. It says toward the end, the judge erred in classifying her as an “independent contractor”. If she was picking up a napkin, there was likely some food involved that the dog was after. Never get between a dog and its food – even if the dog is a Golden or some other normally gentle breed!
