Anderson Kill & Olick Opens Vermont Office to Represent Captive Insurance Firms

Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C., a corporate law firm known primarily for representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, announced the opening of a new office in Burlington, Vermont.

Marshall Gilinsky, a shareholder in the firm’s insurance recovery group who moved from New York City to Burlington several years ago, will head the new office, which will focus primarily on insurance recovery, particularly on behalf of captive insurance firms in disputes with their reinsurance providers.

“As Vermont is home to a great concentration of talented brokers, managers and actuaries serving captives and their parent companies, we are excited to be on the ground here adding our expertise regarding tax, corporate and reinsurance litigation for captives, as well as for business policyholders generally.” Gilinsky said.

Best-known for its work in insurance recovery, New York-based Anderson Kill & Olick represents policyholders only in insurance coverage disputes — with no ties to insurance companies. Clients include Fortune 1000 companies, small and medium-sized businesses, governmental entities, and nonprofits as well as personal estates.
