Branchville, N.J.-based Selective Insurance Group Inc. announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.
Brian Sarisky (Sparta, N.J.) to senior vice president, chief underwriting officer, commercial lines. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president, commercial lines underwriting and product development. Sarisky joined Selective in 1991 as a corporate trainee and has held a variety of regional and corporate positions throughout the organization. He holds designations as both a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and a Certified Insurance Counselor.
Lisa Evans (New Britain, Conn.) to vice president, IT production and maintenance. Prior to that, she served as assistant vice president, IT commercial lines. Evans joined Selective in 2002 as an IT specialist. Previously, she was an application manager at Travelers. Evans holds the Project Management Professional designation.
Shelly Gallagher (Newton, N.J.) to assistant vice president, personal lines auto product manager. Prior to that, she served as senior personal lines operations analyst. Gallagher joined Selective in 2002 as an associate financial analyst.
Robert Mitchell (Branchville, N.J.) to assistant vice president, assistant controller. Prior to that he served as accounting manager, expense reporting. Mitchell joined Selective in 2003 as a staff accountant. Prior to that, he was a senior auditor with Ernst & Young, LLP. He is a certified public accountant.
William VanVeldhuisen (Washington, N.J.) to assistant vice president, self-insured group. Prior to that, he was the claims manager for the self-insured group. VanVeldhuisen joined Selective in 2000 and has held a variety of corporate claims positions. He holds the Associate in Claims designation.
Selective Insurance Group Inc. is a holding company for 10 property/casualty insurance companies. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer primary and alternative market insurance for commercial and personal risks, and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program.
