Selective Insurance Announces Officer Appointments in N.J., Penn.

Selective Insurance Group in Branchville, N.J., announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.

Jeffrey Beck to senior vice president, government and regulatory affairs. He is based in Lafayette Hill, Penn. Beck joined Selective in 2007 as vice president, government affairs. Prior to Selective, he was the head of state government relations for Aetna. He is chairman of the Insurance Council of New Jersey, board member of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania and chairman of the government affairs subcommittee of the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America.

Robert McKenna to senior vice president, enterprise architecture and information security. He is based in Sparta, N.J. McKenna joined Selective in 2003 as an IT network specialist and has held various positions within the company’s IT operations before his previous position of vice president, infrastructure architecture and engineering in 2010.

Cassie Masone to vice president, flood operations. She is based in Andover, N.J. Masone joined Selective in 1997 as an auditor in Selective’s internal audit department. Since that time, she has held various positions within the company including operations analyst and reinsurance manager before becoming assistant vice president of flood operations in 2010.

Eric Thiessen to vice president, information management. He is based in Wantage, N.J. Thiessen joined Selective in July 1995 as a programmer and has held various positions within the company’s IT operations before becoming assistant vice president, information and business intelligence architecture in 2008.

Sean Ritson to assistant vice president, actuarial pricing. He is based in Hamburg, N.J. Ritson joined Selective in 2011 as a senior actuarial analyst and most recently served as actuarial manager. Previously, he was an actuarial consultant for the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
