to Headline: Really, based on what? There’s an article in the Tampa Bay paper spelling out exactly why the Hurricance season is so much lighter than predicted…NOT – They don’t have a clue!

do these guys just make stuff up as they go along, or just give us a taste of their “flavor of the day”?

I’m just spit-balling here, but isn’t Tampa Bay in Florida? It might surprise you to learn that weather patterns are different in different parts of the world, which leads to significant variations in how large-scale global conditions end up affecting those local weather patterns.

Oh, OK. I didn’t realize that meteorology degrees were REGIONAL, Einstein.

The article was about the Colorado State Hurricane center who is widely quoted when making their seasonal hurricane predictions. So I guess you’re reinforcing my observation, they just don’t know about large-scale global predictions, nor about the weather in your part of the world.
