GEICO to Hire 725 New Associates in Fredericksburg, Va., Office

Chevy Chase, Md.-based auto insurance giant GEICO announced Thursday that to keep up with its strong policyholder growth, its regional office in Fredericksburg, Va., plans to hire more than 725 new associates for growth and replacement in 2014.

The GEICO Fredericksburg office, which already employs more than 3,300 associates, is recruiting candidates for career opportunities for entry-level sales, customer service, claims customer service and auto damage adjuster positions, according to the announcement. The company is also hiring college graduates for liability claims customer service positions as well as for the Management Development Program (MDP), one of GEICO’s leadership programs.

“GEICO has experienced outstanding growth, and as a result we’re looking for more talented candidates in the Fredericksburg area to join our team,” said Nancy Pierce, regional vice president.

GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company), a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, provides millions of auto insurance quotes to U.S. drivers annually. The company serves more than 12 million private passenger customers and insures more than 20 million vehicles (auto & cycle).

GEICO also provides insurance quotes on motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), travel trailers and motorhomes (RVs). Coverage for boats, life, homes and apartments is written by non-affiliated insurance companies and is secured through the GEICO Insurance Agency Inc. Commercial auto insurance and personal umbrella protection are also available.
