Requesting “data including friend lists, photos, and private messages, many of them from users who have yet to be charged and may never be” is indeed troubling. I am all for law enforcement, but it must be reasonable. Facebook has privacy settings for a reason.

I thought police/prosecutors have to have probable cause to get a warrant. This does sound like they are just fishing.
