National Financial Partners Corp. (NFP), a New York-based provider of benefits, insurance and wealth management services, has acquired EBS/Foran Insurance and Advisory Services Inc. (Foran Insurance) in Massachusetts. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Massachusetts-based Foran Insurance, with locations in Dennis and Northborough, specializes in designing health and welfare benefit plans for employers. Foran Insurance’s president, John “Jay” Foran, will remain with the firm, working as a director as part of the Northeast Region for NFP.
NFP said Foran Insurance would complement the strength of NFP’s capabilities in the Boston region and help to further expand the firm’s Northeast footprint. In addition, Foran Insurance’s focus on municipality health and welfare programs will support NFP’s larger retirement and employee benefit expertise, NFP said in its announcement.
NFP, along with its benefits, property/casualty and life insurance, and wealth management businesses, provides diversified advisory and brokerage services to companies and high net worth individuals.
