Philadelphia Cab Owners Lose Bid to Ban Uber Service

    Let us see how this shakes out once Uber is classified as a taxi service, and regulated accordingly. Right now they have an unfair advantage. Maybe they will win on service, and pricing, most likely they will be a footnote in history.

    And no, I won’t use them. It would be like using an unlicensed, under-insured and unregulated contractor.

    I agree with Alan… Uber has no checks and balances like fare regulation, drug testing drivers, CPR training drivers, vehicle safety checks. HOWEVER, the solution is for the legislators to allow taxi companies to operate like Uber! No fare regulation, no paying for medallions, no physicals, no drug tests, etc., etc.!
