Ugh, he was a partner at Morrison & Mahoney. That firm strictly does defense work for the insurance companies. So when push comes to shove, we know who’s side the commissioner will take!

Not the consumer’s side of course.

    Hello Mr.Judson,
I was hoping to see if there was any suggestions/feedback you might have with regards to this issue. I am the Director of Nursing for a pain management clinic in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. We currently see a growing number of clients under the United Healthcare Plan. I have reached out to them to try and obtain credentialing so that we can treat these patients for their pain and medication management in our setting. They have explained that their enrollment for this type of service is contractually set and they cannot add any new provider groups. This particular demographic of their patients that we see here would be more effectively cared for in this environment from a social, cultural and financial standpoint.
Any advice, help or feedback you might have to leverage this situation would be greatly appreciated. These patients are very established at our center and to send them out elsewhere would be very difficult for them to maneuver.
    Regards,
Patricia Herald, DONursing for Hyde Park Pain Management
