What exactly do these people want? Either you had a sufficient combination of insurance and savings to cover your losses or not. Are they looking for a handout? Is the government preventing them from rebuilding in some way? Any insurance dispute would have either been resolved or would be pending in litigation at this point — nothing the Governor can do anything about. The Gov also has no power/control over the Federal Flood program, which is under Obama’s purview. So again, what exactly is the beef?
If this is just a case of people who didn’t adequately insure/save for this then they should “shut up and go home”. If they have their funds ready and their contractor lined up and the State of NJ is somehow preventing them from starting repairs, then maybe they have a beef, but that is not specified anywhere in the article.
I thought the article did discuss what their beef was:
“The state Community Affairs Department said Tuesday that of the more than 8,000 homeowners active in the state’s main rebuilding grant program, 7,680 have signed their awards and more than 7,600 have received at least one payment for their homes, indicating they are in the construction phase.
Of those, nearly 2,000 have completed construction….
Most of Tuesday’s protesters have gotten at least something from the state program. But red tape, contractor delays, insurance disputes and more have kept them from fully rebuilding”
What hug? With whom, Obama? Never happened. As I keep suggesting to you, stop spreading falsities. Or you could take Christie’s advice in the last statement here…
“Just six days before President Obama’s 2012 re-election, Christie welcomed him warmly to the state…
“I got so mad at you!” Hannity said to Christie, recalling the moment when the governor “hugged” the president in New Jersey…

I suppose that big hug didn’t cut out the red tape as promised.

“There was no hug,” Christie replied. “Stop.”
It’s called Obama Derangement Syndrome.
