Hey Health Republic customers. Go to Healthcare.gov and they will fix you right up with higher deductibles, more out of pocket expenses, reduced network and you will just love it, guaranteed.

Health Republic of NY was the only Obamacare plan I could afford, and even that was over $100/mth more than my perfectly good Empire BCBS plan that was cancelled because it didn’t meet ACA standards (i.e., it didn’t offer extras like substance abuse treatment and chiropractic). So I guess they’ve finally succeeded in pricing me out of the market, and I will join the ranks of the uninsured. Pretty ironic that the ACA, which was intended to insure everyone, is now the reason I’m losing my insurance!

Sigh, your issues with Healthcare coverage is a microcosm of what millions of other Americans have faced with this dastardly law. The title of the article is Shutdown of Republic Health of NY should accelerate. Many of us would like Obamacare’s demise should accelerate and be replaced as we have said for 5 long years. We know it won’t happen at least for 15 months. I wish you well in your quest. It is interesting that open enrollment has now started and depending on the area, double digit rate increases are the norm for a lot of folks.

You hit the nail on the head Rick. Progressives have not given the consumer an alternative. It is their way or the highway since the law was passed. Cancel 6 million policies and force the citizens to go into their terrible plans. I kind of think they will have another slow enrollment this year when people get a load of the new rates. Many will continue to stay out and pay whatever the fine/tax is.

They should be more careful telling people to end coverage by Nov. 30, without giving proper warning about penalties for not having compliant coverage.

They should have replacement coverage 1st.

Insguy, go onto the Fox site today and read about Obamacare Hemhoraging with all these Co-ops failing. 870,000 citizens are now scrambling for Healthcare coverage during the enrollment period. They may break that billion dollar website again with the demand. We, the taxpayers gave these Co-ops $2.4 Billion to set them up and now look what is happening.

I wonder how many of those 870,000 citizens cannot get insurance because their state did not approve the Medicaid expansion.

Along with 35 other states. They didn’t want to get stuck with the bill and ruin their state budgets.

So we are supposed to get a new policy for December starting back at $0 towards our deductible, then do the same thing for January? This is criminal, I’ve paid my $6,000 deductible for 2015 and am supposed to be covered until Jan 1st. I have chemo and a CT Scan scheduled. WTF???

Agent – was Texas one of the states that did or did not expand Medicaid?

“ObamaCare enrollment…beat expectations with at least 11.4 million Americans signing up in the second year. The new estimates put the Obama administration ahead of its target of 9 million sign-ups for 2015.”

2.4 million more people are enrolled in ObamaCare than planned. I can see why someone would say it is working better than expected.

Of course, when Republicans cut more than 60% of the budget for the startups, that sabotaged Obamacare from the beginning. Not absolving the startups of screw-ups, but let’s not pretend Agent and his ilk were not out to sabotage this from the beginning. Bernie and single payer are the solution! Let’s Go Bernie!!

Rick2, spoken like a true Socialist Bernie believer. So $2.4 Billion for the start ups was not enough? I believe Bernie Sanders State of Vermont wanted to try Single Payer and they quickly found out it’s cost was completely untenable and abandoned the concept. By the way, Republicans weren’t in charge when this terrible law was passed so how could they cut anything on any part of it. Obama even spent $1 Billion on a website that wouldn’t work. Jonathon Gruber lied, lied and lied some more and you still swallowed the lie hook, line and sinker. That is why this law will eventually go away to be replaced. Socialism doesn’t work and has never worked.

I learned TODAY that I have to find new insurance in 10 days. WTF!!! Unbelievable! I don’t have a federal subsidy because I don’t qualify for one, and I’m willing to pay for a damn plan that is supposed to provide INSURANCE. Insurance (noun): synonyms: ASSURANCE, PROTECTION, DEFENSE, SAFEGUARD, SECURITY, PRECAUTION. It’s like buying a damn car that falls apart 4 months after you sign on for the car loan. Oh, you don’t have to pay the loan, but you don’t have a car! I don’t blame Obamacare–without it, I’d be a cancer patient WITHOUT ANY INSURANCE. Now I have to scramble & worry & read all the new damn fine print all over again & hope I don’t get ripped off. I don’t know how insurance executives sleep at night, really. I curse them all with anal fissures.

Harleymom, did you have insurance prior to 2010? Did you have a plan you could live with? Were you one of the six million who lost their coverage and forced into this very complicated monstrocity that no one can explain? The fact is that this Progressive Socialist scheme was full of lies to the American People on its merits and it only succeeded in making insurance more unaffordable and bureaucratic. Companies are only following the dictates of our Democratic politicians who put this law on the books with no bi-partisan support. The system is now on full implode. Good luck with your search.

Health Republic never paid a bill for $666. I thought, after calling them and the provider repeatedly and asking them to work out the ICD9 code that H.R. said was “wrong” (it wasn’t ) over the course of months,it had finally been resolved two months ago. I just got another bill for the same blood work that is supposed to be covered. I don’t know what to do to make them pay. I have an email from a H.R. rep saying that they had been mistaken. Now the hospital is coming after me – again.

Anyone know of a class action suit agains Health Republic?
