Maine’s MEMIC Group Announces 3 Promotions

The MEMIC Group, a workers’ compensation insurer based in Portland, Maine, has promoted Wanda Periou to director of Claims for the Atlantic region, Karen Porter to director of Technical Operations for the Atlantic and Northeast regions and Joeline D’Anjou to director of Claims at MEMIC.

In new management roles, D’Anjou will oversee claims staff in Maine and Periou will oversee New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.

With more than 30 years of claims experience, Periou joined MEMIC as regional claims manager in Florida in January of 2015. Periou has earned a Certification in Workers’ Compensation (CWC) designation from the State of Florida. She is based in Tampa, Florida.

Porter joined MEMIC as compensation associate in January of 2007 and was promoted to compensation specialist in August of 2007. Porter was promoted to unit manager in 2011. She has Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP) designations. She is based in Manchester, New Hampshire.

D’Anjou joined MEMIC in 1999 as compensation specialist after a career in accounting. She was promoted to claims coordinator in 2007 and unit manager in 2011. D’Anjou has Associate in Claims (AIC), Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA) and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP) designations. She is based in Portland.
