People should be allowed to build where they want, BUT there should be absolutely zero government flood insurance, FEMA grants, handouts, loans, bailouts, assistance, programs, or aide of any kind whatsoever when these places are inevitably destroyed in the next storm. These folks who are stupid enough to build something new on the ocean MUST bear the full financial responsibility of their decisions on their own. If you’ve got money to burn, knock yourself out but don’t come looking to me or other taxpayers to bail your butt out when bad things happen.
