I call BS on this one. They couldn’t even predict with any certainty where Hurricane Matthew was going. It was going to go up and entirely miss the US, then it was going to hit SC, then it was going to GA and hang a right turn and circle back to FL,… How can they predict, with any accuracy, 20 years ahead and expect anyone to believe them???

Jack, give Colorado State University some credit. They finally had one hit after 10 years of predictions. Usually, they say about 12 named storms to make landfall in the U.S. The law of averages will catch up sooner or later. By the way, Matthew was not man’s fault.

Please tell us all how YOU would be able to predict a random event with certainty.

Your example of several erroneous predictions of the path of an existing hurricane is inappropriate for discrediting the future projections that are general in nature.

That said, you are correct in criticizing a long term projection that MIGHT be used by some politically motivated persons to initiate government actions that are politically, not scientifically, motivated and supported.

Look no further than the limited details in this article to see the BS this so called professor is spewing.

“Under a scenario in which the climate remained as it is today, Sandy-like hurricanes would occur about once every 400 years, Horton said.”

Sooo, somehow, this quack is publishing a worst case scenario that it could happen every 20 years (an acceleration of 2000%) when the alleged warming of the earth is a measly 1/2 degree every 10 years.

There is no mention of when this “worst case scenario” is potentially likely to happen. I’m guessing maybe 500 years from now.

I can’t wait for the lib’s on this blog to defend this load of crap.

Integrity, they will be bloviating their nonsense soon. What will they say when Global Cooling hits by 2030? To show you how crazy these people are, they think a blizzard in winter is the result of Global Warming. Not a whole lot of common sense with these people.

Couldn’t agree more with all comment’s, the fact that a Cat 3 or higher hurricane has not hit the US coast in a period 2 weeks shy of 11 years is a major downer for the “sky is falling” crowd, aka “climate change” folk’s. Let’s face it, with the $$ that is available for research in climate, how can the researcher not continue to print out the “BS”! The real story is the way we have gone about developing our vacant land, and pretending coastal flooding can be contained!

How many articles has JI published here that take the conservative viewpoint into consideration with regard to Climate Change?

I recall none. Tell me otherwise, and provide a link.

Maybe it is because facts and science do not support the Conservative viewpoint on Climate Change or much of anything else.
