Venture Programs, a West Chester, Penn.-based national insurance program administrator, has added Janet Wright as a risk manager and Jeanne Starr as a SUITELIFE regional underwriter.
In this new role, Wright will be responsible for further enhancing and growing Venture’s risk management division. She will work in partnership with Venture’s program teams, carriers, third-party administrators, vendors, brokers and clients to deliver value-added risk services to private and publicly traded companies.
In her previous role, Wright served as a senior risk manager for BlueLine Rental, where she secured savings for the company and implemented process improvements. Wright also brings years of experience having served as an underwriter at Nationwide Insurance and Delta Dental, working with an array of risk management offerings.
Joining Venture as a regional underwriter, Starr will write profitable new business and renewals while marketing and selling the company’s SUITELIFE products and services. SUITELIFE is an all-lines insurance and risk program for upscale hotels and resort properties administered by Venture Programs.
Starr will be focused on the South Central and Southeast territories, maintaining relations with agents and carrier partners in her new role. Most recently, Starr served as a middle market commercial insurance sales underwriter at CAN Insurance, where she targeted new business accounts with revenues in excess of $20 million in addition to managing an existing renewal book throughout Florida. Prior to her time there, she was a middle market underwriter, claims supervisor and adjuster for the Hartford Insurance Group.
SUITELIFE is an insurance provider to the hotel and resort management industry, providing specialty insurance to full-service hotels, boutique hotels, condo hotels and hotel management companies on an admitted basis across the U.S. The SUITELIFE package includes property, general liability, crime, commercial auto, liquor liability, cyber and privacy liability, umbrella liability and workers’ compensation.
Venture Programs is a program manager that designs, underwrites and distributes industry-specific insurance packages. Venture has underwriting alliances with Chubb, Allied World, Hamilton, RSUI, USLI, Zurich North America, Monitor and LLoyd’s of London.
