The State had plenty of opportunity to draft their own ballot measure and let people vote on that, but they chose not to do so. The voters of MA approved the ballot question in whatever form it was presented to them. The government should implement the decision of their constituants.
If they wanted to ensure all these proposed changes would be part of the bill, all they had to do was create their own ballot question and have voters approve or deny their reccomendation.
If people vote for a bill, the governemnt shouldn’t be able to say “yeah, well, the bill is wrong. We need to change it before we will implement it, even though voters did not approve this new version of the bill.”

1) Please ask someone from the area about it. That’s like me asking you how people in Tennesee feel about something if you live in LA.
