Wow, Agent without knowing where these positions were located that were eliminated, or anything about the positions involved, you have managed to make this a political issue? I guess those facts don’t matter when you have a singular world view.
Or maybe they do know and just elected not to say anything – a good chunk of them are coming from Michigan. With so many now having having the attention span of a twitter post, not everyone takes time to read the long posts – so why would they necessarily bother putting in details? I’m not defending “Agent” or saying they knew, but you’re assuming that Agent is assuming. Bottom line, blue states are being affected. Red or blue it is unfortunate.
Investigate, I believe we have seen the stories of companies based in the N/E looking for new homes because of high taxation, regulations. Many are now relocating operations in the south and southwest. Liberty Mutual is building a new office in Plano, Tx. to house 1,500 employees. Why didn’t they find another office in the N/E? Aetna moving out of Hartford?
Perhaps you didn’t see State Farm closing 11 offices around the country and laying off or re-assigning employees. By the way, the DFW office is one of the recipients of employee growth with that company.

They were countrywide, not concentrated in one geographic area.
