Coverys, a Boston, Mass.-based medical professional liability insurance provider, has announced its investment in two separate organizations, Knowledge Diffusion Inc. (Osmosis) and Pack Health LLC (Pack Health).

Osmosis is a medical and health education technology company with headquarters in Baltimore, Md. To date, Osmosis has focused on medical students but is working to gain traction with a number of additional healthcare provider segments including nursing, physician assistants, pharmacy, dentistry and others.

Pack Health, headquartered in Birmingham, Al., works in chronic care management in partnership with payers, providers, employers, professional associations and medical education organizations. Pack Health’s digital coaching platform provides a technology-driven, human-centric engagement to patients in more than 20 chronic conditions. It supports patients’ access to care and helps them develop self-management skills which are designed to improve their own well-being.

Coverys CEO and President Gregg L. Hanson said in a company press release that these investments will further the company’s goals of supporting healthcare providers, improving patient outcomes and reducing medical professional liability claims by educating early clinician learners and working with chronic disease patients.
