My son works for a company where he is told he is an independent contractor. He does not have taxes taken out of his pay. He has to furnish proof of his own contractor’s liability insurance. He wears a tee shirt with that company’s name on it to work and goes where and when he is directed by them to do whatever they tell him to do. Does that sound like an independent contractor to you?
