Absurd jury awards like this one (which will almost certainly be overturned) are very bad for the business of ambulance chasing. Awards that are as comprehensively inflated as this one, force the trial lawyer to have to actually ‘file’ some court documents since the appeals courts will either throw the award out completely, or , reduce it to a level that makes some sense.
Getting injured has become a lottery.

How many other kids were on the bus? What were their injuries? Was the child restrained? Should he have been per state law?
I agree with Jax. This is an absurd settlement.
