Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Offers Accountants Professional Liability in Pennsylvania

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies recently announced it added Pennsylvania to the list of states where the insurer offers its Accountants Professional Liability product.

In 2016, it began writing Professional Liability for a limited number of classes in 13 states and now offers the coverage to nearly 100 different types of businesses in 30 states with plans for further expansion, according to Berkshire Hathaway GUARD CEO Sy Foguel in a company press release.

The company’s Accountants Professional Liability product is targeted toward CPA firms with up to $10 million in annual revenue, with larger firms considered on a case-by-case basis, said Lyle Hitt, executive vice president of Property and Liability Insurance at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD, in the release. The product features limits up to $3 million per claim and deductibles starting at $500, Hitt said.

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is a property and casualty insurance specialist writing $2 billion in premium nationwide. Headed by Foguel, the Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies maintain a total of eight offices throughout the country.
