Conner Strong & Buckelew Names Jampana as Senior VP, Chief Information Officer

Conner Strong & Buckelew, an insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage and consulting firm, has named 25-year technology leader Anil Jampana as its senior vice president and chief information officer.

In this newly created position, he will oversee all information technology functions and activities including technology operations, data and software development. He will also be responsible for leading a digital transformation initiative to implement the latest technologies to drive business growth and profitability.

The addition of this position follows a number of other technology-related investments at Conner Strong & Buckelew, including the creation of an InsurTech Practice Group, use of claims software and hosting an annual Innovation Challenge.

It also comes on the heels of the firm’s co-founding BrokerTech Ventures, a program specifically for investors and innovators building the next generation of tech solutions for insurance agencies and brokerages, joining C2 Solutions, a company focused on finding collaborative solutions in employee benefits consulting, and hiring a chief security officer to reduce cyber risk across the organization.

Jampana has held a variety of senior level positions across a range of industry verticals. He most recently served as president and head of Business and Product Development at a startup developing informatics solutions to speed up new materials development. Previously, Jampana held positions at PPD Inc., Nutrisystem Inc., Fidelity Investments and AT&T.
