September 16, 2004

Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Limited, a U.K. based investment banking firm and wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. company (KBW), announced it has hired two new professionals to bolster its equity research of European insurance companies.

“Anand Vasudevan joins KBW to cover Italian insurance companies, a sector he’s covered for the past three years while at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein,” said the announcement. He began his career as an analyst at ING Barings in 1997, and has also worked at UTI Securities and SG Securities. He has a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.

“Also joining KBW is Dilip Shah, who will be responsible for equity research coverage of the Benelux insurers and the Integrated Lloyds Vehicles,” the bulletin continued. He most recently worked as a research analyst at Arbuthnot Securities, after two years spent covering insurance companies for Altium Capital. He previously worked as a corporate tax consultant at Arthur Andersen from 1997 to 2000.

“In a short time, we’ve been able to initiate coverage on an impressive amount of European financial services companies,” commented Vasco Moreno, Director of European Research. “By adding quality analysts like Anand Vasudevan and Dilip Shah to our growing team, we can offer clients an even broader perspective on this important sector.”
