CII Insurance Certificate Validates Qualifications

The U.K.’s Chartered Insurance Institute announced that its new Certificate in Insurance continues to be a popular choice with industry professionals seeking to validate their competence.

The organization said that just under 700 candidates attained the qualification at the October exam session. The results, issued Oct. 22, “reveal that 694 people completed the Certificate to take the total number of holders since its introduction at the beginning of this year to 2075. Holders who become CII members are entitled to use the designation Cert CII.”

The CII noted that the “upward trend is set to continue as a total of 2301 passes were gained across the six Certificate level subjects. Each subject is worth 15 credits and candidates must acquire a minimum of 40 credits to achieve the Certificate.”

CII qualifications manager Sam Rees-Adams stated: “The certificate is clearly meeting a market need, it provides a firm grounding in insurance essentials and its modular approach is popular with employers and students alike.”
