ACE Names Managers in Asia Pacific, Latin America Regions

The ACE Group of Companies has announced some managerial changes in its Asia Pacific and Latin American operations.

Marcos Gunn has been named Sr. VP and Head of Accident & Health for ACE Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for furthering the development of ACE’s personal accident and supplemental health business throughout Asia Pacific.

ACE noted that Gunn, who currently holds the position of Regional VP for Accident & Health in Latin America, succeeds Jorge Luis Cazar, who was named President and CEO of ACE Latin America earlier this year. Both men will take up their new posts in the first quarter of 2007.

“In his new role Mr. Gunn will report to John Bassetto, President & CEO, ACE Asia Pacific, and to Ed Clancy, President and Chief Operating Officer, ACE Overseas General, and President of International Accident & Health,” said the announcement.

Ignacio Borja, President and CEO of ACE Colombia and Ecuador, will succeed Gunn as Regional VP Accident & Health, for ACE Latin America, effective January 1, 2007. He will relocate from Bogota, Colombia to Santiago, Chile.

Miguel Sierra, CFO for Latin America, will become President and CEO of ACE Colombia and Ecuador, succeeding Borja, as of January 1, 2007.

“The appointments of Marcos, Ignacio and Miguel demonstrate the depth of talent we have across the entire ACE global network,” Clancy stated. “They will focus on expanding ACE’s business and developing other regional opportunities in Asia Pacific and Latin America.”
