I am a Thalidomide victum. My mother was given the drug when she was pregnant with me. I was born with no mouth (which they immediately took me out and “drilled a hole in the mouth area) so that my mom could feed me with an eye dropper (it took her 1 1/2 to feed me a half oz. of milk). Also I was born with no tongue, no left foot, a deformity in my left hand, an open cleff pallet (which was never closed) I still battle daily with my speach being understood (although if you listen closely you can understand me), plus chronic health issues due to the severe birth defects as well.
I am seeking compensation now, but have never in the past done so. I do believe I am DUE the compensation for all the struggles I have had to face & will cont. to face for my entire life time. At the age of 3 yrs. I was a march of dimes poster child. I was born in 1964 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Prior to my birth my mother was a nurse and she had to quit work after my birth due to the severe birth defects I had. She had 7 other children who were and are in “perfect” health.
I now live in Justin, Texas (USA). My questions is do I join the other victums in UK or is there a contact source here in the USA that I would need to seek the compensation?
The older I becaome the struggles with my birth defects become larger. (ex. I have always had to be a bit careful when I drink to keep me from choking (due to me having no tongue and an open pallet, but yet never had any majior problen, but NOW as I am older I find myself choking more and more). In fact I was just at the ER yesterday for the swallowing issue.
Anyways, I look forward to your response in hopes that I can get the compensation I deserve. I won’t stop this time until SOMEONE will HELP me and I am in hopes that you will be the one to help me.

It is illegal to be a Thalidomider in the USA. Watching Canadian Thalidomiders cases in Pennsylvania courts win their cases the in very same courts that refuse us. Against the very same companies that produced thalidomide. So much for the greatest country. USA victims the most neglected legally.
