I am struggling to believe that Marsh see this as new and innovative… surely the point of a broker such as Marsh, with its apparent high standng and influence within the insurance market, is to being all of these things as a matter of course?

‘ Marsh’s new trade credit insurance service’ I’m sure their existing clients will wonder why this was not being done last Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec and the first half of this year when it was really needed.

My question would be, what value did Marsh bring their clients at the peak of the credit limit reductions / cancellations?

Where they not actively not identifying their key risks, establishing what relaionship these buyers have with the market ie. the last financial data, looking at renewal options with other insurers and top up options and presenting this to insurers in the most favourable light?

If I were an existing Marsh client I’d be looking for a broker that knows how to keep the stable door locked before the horse bolts!

I think someone may have dropped the ball with this so called ‘Launch of an Insurance Service’…
