    From the Quran:
2:191 And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.

2:193 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.

2:216 Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not.

2:244 Fight in the way of Allah, and know that Allah is Hearer, Knower.

5:33 The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom.

Al you could easily quote passages just as bad or worse from the bible. I guess you’d prefer to isolate the great many moderate and peaceful Muslims out there. Quit reading Vince Flynn novels and turn down the Mark Levine show.

Better yet make a useful comment like how is even a small scare in Hormuz going to affect oil speculation?

There is a reason the U.S. has spent $7.5 Trillion dollars in the past 3 decadades to put aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf. This isn’t new.

Never hearda Vince Flynn and Levin comes on after my bedtime, genius.

The Quran’s violent verses are in the latter portion, and abrogate the peaceful portions that appeared when Mo was trying to woo the Meccans. When they chased him to Medina where he had his banditry and pillage stage, the “prophecies” got more hostile, and according to the Muslim doctrine of abrogation, supercede the more peaceful initial sayings.

The Bible shows God commanding limited military actions against specific tribes, not general mayhem against and suppression of all non-Jews who won’t convert. Plus, Christ abrogated the Old Testament, and never told anyone to kill anyone, nor did His apostles.

The best thing risk managers could do is understand the true, irredeemably murderous nature of Islam, and advise their clients accordingly: particularly with regard to Sharia-compliant finance, which is not only of a whole with hand-chopping, infidel killing Islamic law, but by its nature requires the support of Muslim “charities” often connected to Hamas, Hizbollah, etc.

From the movie “Death Wish”: “they’re like cockroaches; if you don’t kill them all, what’s the point?”

I’m no engineer, but the description of this incident points to only one possible cause: a floating “mine”. Islam shouldn’t be dignified by classifying it as a “religion”. It’s a haven for fundamentalist hate mongering terrorists whose only purpose in life is to destroy. It’s an inbred, almost genetic condition that will never change. Anytime these pieces of human garbage threaten or attack civilized people they should be eliminated. It’s the only language they understand. You don’t try to use civilized approaches to un-civilized people.
