In 1983, I bought a life insurance from Seguros America (bought by ING) with a investment of $15000 which Banamex converted into pesos. Soon after that the Mexican goverment nationalized the banks and took off 3 zeros from the peso investment, which immediately dimished my investement fund and today AXA is offering me an approximate surrender amount of $570. AXA places blame on the government as they were supposedly told to take off the thousands off the funds. Is there anything that can be done against this type of thievery? I need advise…
