    AON announced that they are knowledgable about food-borne illness coverage. What a cutting edge company.

    No, they really don’t.

    This is more marketing hype in a soft market than actuarial science!

    these types of programs resurface every cycle…they spin the add ons and service components but it is the same basic idea .

    And being highly competitive high risk businesses, (in a soft economy and rising energy costs) restaurants are hard pressed to pay for “nice to have” coverage.

    From a carrier standpoint, you can’t get a big enough pool of $$ quickly enough to fund for the inevitable pop. Why so many of these programs crashed and burned .

    All good points

    The people who need the cover most don’t have the resources…the big chain and corporate guys do a good job
