October 31, 2011

BrokersLink, a major independent international insurance broker network, announced that new brokers had joined the organization in Israel, Indonesia, South Korea and the Caribbean. Its members’ managed premium volumes have increased to more than $14 billion, noted BrokersLink Chairman José Fonseca.

Speaking at the alliance’s third Global Conference in Miami he told delegates: “We have experienced considerable growth over the last year in our existing geographical areas, but the addition of skill representation in these key regions also promises to drive further expansion and enhance the services provided to our members, their clients and their insurers.”

“Our aim is to keep growing while maintaining the personal relationships and mutually beneficial community ethos on which BrokersLink was based on when launch it”. Based on the fantastic support we have received to date from the global insurance market this shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve.”

BrokersLink has also added two new international specialized service providers to its membership to provide access to CAT modeling and employee benefits expertise.

The eight new members are:
• Anzen Insurance Brokers – Israel
• IBS Insurance Broking Services – Indonesia
• Daewoo INS Korea Corp – South Korea
• Star General – Bahamas
• CIC Insurance Services – Trinidad & Tobago
• Derek Bogle Insurance – Cayman Islands
• In2Matrix – employee benefits specialists
• AIR Worldwide Corporation – catastrophe risk modeling software and consulting

The new additions announced at the conference bring the total membership to around 65 members operating in approximately 60 countries from 300 offices globally with a total of over 6,000 insurance professionals.
