    Former Status Quo says:

What’s funny is if you research the Frade Field you will find two things:
    1. The field was originally discovered because there is a natural oil leave at the site. No one ever knew it existed until the Brazilian Navy noticed a slick. So this “neverending” leak was already there.
    2. The second largest owner in the well is the state run Brazilian oil company. Anyone find it odd that the state run company wants to kick out the majority well owner? Sounds like something they do in Russia.

This whole lawsuit stinks. I’m not saying what Chevron did was okay, but it sounds like the Brazilians aren’t too happy about not owning the entire oil field, which is the largest on Brazil’s Atlantic coastline.
