Triggs Joins Aon Benfield Securities in Expansion Move

Aon Benfield Securities, the investment banking division of global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor Aon Benfield, announced the appointment of Nick Triggs, as a Managing Director in a new senior strategic advisory post in London. He will be reporting to Paul Schultz, Aon Benfield Securities CEO.

Triggs will “strengthen Aon Benfield Securities’ capital markets capabilities, advising its insurance, reinsurance and private equity clients on a broad array of strategic advisory assignments, including mergers and acquisitions, insurance and reinsurance company formations, and capital raising initiatives,” said the announcement.

Triggs served most recently as Head of European Investment Banking for Keefe Bruyette & Woods Limited in London, where he was responsible for strategic advisory, and mergers and acquisitions advice across Europe.

He is a qualified chartered accountant with 25 years of experience in financial services, primarily as an investment banker serving insurance and reinsurance clients. He has advised many of the industry’s leading firms and successfully closed transactions in multiple jurisdictions including in the U.K., the Nordics, Continental Europe and the U.S.

Schultz noted Triggs’ “extensive experience of building businesses and advising insurance and reinsurance clients,” adding that he will “prove a valuable addition to our firm, immediately benefiting both our clients and colleagues alike.”

Schulz also said Trigg is joining Aon Benfield Securities “following our recent announcement of adding senior investment banking colleagues in the U.S. These new appointments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to making investments in our colleagues and capabilities, and this in turn enables us to continue to provide industry-leading advice to clients globally on a broad array of strategic and capital initiatives.”
