RSA Launches New Restaurants and Hotels Policy

RSA, one of the UK’s principle commercial insurers, has launched a new Restaurants and Hotels insurance policy, which it said offers “flexible cover with a wealth of benefits to the hospitality trade.

“It provides insurance for small-unlicensed hotels with up to six rooms or restaurants with up to 150 seats and has flexible limits to suit the needs of most businesses,” said the announcement.

The policy covers the following:
• Contents, stock, public/products liability and employers’ liability
• Cover for hotel guests’ personal effects (£2,500 [$4095] per guest)
• 50 percent seasonal stock increase during November, December and 30 days prior to Easter
• All Risk Goods in Transit cover of £2,500 [$4112] with the option to extend to £10,000 [$16,384]
• £1,000 [$1,638] cover for damage to frozen and chilled food with the option to extend to £10,000 [$16,384] per unit
• Public/products liability £2 million [$3.276 million] standard indemnity cover can be reduced, increased or deselected as required
• Automatic Money package of £1,000 [$1,638] with option to decrease or increase where necessary
