The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies announced the appointment of Jalil Rehman as Chief Executive Officer of Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.
He has been with Chubb for 24 years and has served in various leadership positions. For the past nine years, he has led Chubb’s International claims operations. Prior to assuming this position, he was the European claims manager. Earlier, he served as the UK & Ireland claims manager. He began his career with Chubb as a graduate trainee in the London branch.
Rehman will be based in London and will report to Chris Giles, International Field Operations Manager, who described him as a “highly regarded insurance practitioner,” who has gained “extensive exposure to clients and brokers in his time in the industry, providing him with a valuable market perspective. He brings a unique set of skills to the European CEO position, and we are excited that Chubb Europe will be benefiting from his strong leadership.”
Rehman’s appointment follows the announcement that Michael Casella will take up the new Chubb position of Global Alternative Markets Field Officer. Casella will be responsible for developing strategies to leverage Chubb’s alternative market capabilities. He will relocate to Chubb’s global headquarters in Warren, New Jersey to undertake this new role.
Harold Morrison, Chubb Global Field Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, expressed his appreciation for Casella’s “excellent work in leading Chubb Europe over the past five years. We are pleased that Chubb will be benefiting from his leadership and extensive international experience.”
