Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm investing in financial services, has made an investment for a majority of the equity in Beach & Associates Ltd., an independent global reinsurance broker based in Toronto, Canada.
Beach & Associates’ founder and chairman, Jonathan Beach, will retain a significant investment in the firm and remain on its board of directors, according to the announcement by Aquiline Capital. In addition, Beach & Associates’ senior partners have invested in the firm alongside Aquiline Capital and will own approximately 15 percent of Beach & Associates, according to the announcement.
Beach & Associates is an independent specialty reinsurance intermediary with offices in Toronto, London, New York, Dallas and Bermuda.
Aquiline Capital is a private equity firm investing in middle-market businesses across the financial services sector in banking and credit, insurance, investment management and markets, and financial technology.
