Allianz Insurance, the U.K. subsidiary of Allianz SE, has appointed Lee Watts as head of casualty claims.
Watts will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of technical claims strategy and best practice across all casualty and disease claims, Allianz Claims said in a statement.
Watts, who worked at QBE for eight years, most recently held the position of claims investigation services manager. During his time at QBE, he led a number of efficiency and indemnity initiatives resulting in multi million pound benefits and developed a target operating model. He also was the technical subject matter expert for implementing guidewire across casualty claims, as well as more recently leading the implementation of analytics within casualty and motor claims.
“I am delighted to welcome Lee to the team. He not only brings technical skills and knowledge but valuable experience of implementing claims management systems and claims analytics all of which is vital to deliver great customer service,” said Sarah Mallaby, head of technical claims, Allianz.
“I am confident that Lee’s skills and experience will further strengthen our excellent claims management team and help us drive our claims strategy forward,” she added.
