Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), the provider of specialist and corporate insurance, has appointed Paul Dreblow as head of Corporate and Commercial Property in its London office.
The newly created position will see Dreblow responsible for large commercial (LCP) and mid-market property insurance at TMK. This follows a reorganization of the underwriting teams on the company platform, aimed at simplifying operations and streamlining the underwriting process.
Dreblow has been based in TMK’s Singapore office since 2010 as regional underwriting director, responsible for all underwriting activities in Asia and facilitating business growth in the region. He has more than 23 years’ experience, working for a number of leading insurance and reinsurance companies in London and Asia.
Dreblow joined the Tokio Marine Group in 2005. From 2001 to 2005 he worked in Singapore for Swiss Re and between 1995 and 2001 Paul worked for AXA Re in London.
Alex Dugand will move to TMK’s Singapore office to become the new regional underwriting director for Asia. Dugand takes over the role from his current position as a reinsurance underwriter in London where he has been based since joining the company in 2007.
Peter Leslie, chief underwriting officer for the company platform at Tokio Marine Kiln, said:
“As we look to increase efficiency across our company platform it has made sense to create sector specific underwriting teams. We want to offer clients access to the full range of underwriting expertise within TMK whilst focusing on market sectors where our skills and knowledge have particular relevance. Paul’s experience at overseeing underwriting operations across large portfolios of business makes him a natural fit for this new role.”
Neil Wray, regional managing director for Asia at Tokio Marine Kiln, commented:
“Asia continues to be a key priority for TMK as we develop our business. I welcome Alex to Singapore and look forward to him building on from the great work Paul has done in region.”
Both Paul and Alex will take up their respective positions at the end of January 2016.
