Seven Corners Launches Kidnap & Ransom, Crisis Management Travel Coverages

International travel insurance and specialty benefit management company Seven Corners, Inc., has unveiled two new insurance products – Captum Kidnap and Ransom and Ally Crisis Management – for international travelers.

Captum Kidnap and Ransom coverage is sold online and provides financial and crisis support for insured events or security situations – such as kidnap, extortion, detention, threat, hijack or disappearance – that could arise when traveling abroad. Personal security benefits include:

• Ransom payment of up to $1 million at the time of surrender to meet a kidnap, extortion or hijack demand, even if the ransom is stolen or confiscated in the process;
• Access to a 24/7, multilingual security exchange response team equipped to handle all communication and crisis response related to the insured event;
• Protection against any additional expenses related to threats to personal safety or disappearance for more than 48 hours; and
• Coverage for the cost of any obstacle faced in extreme situations such as negotiation, medical or psychiatric care, 100 percent of gross salary while kidnapped, detained or hijacked, and even rest and rehabilitation costs after the insured event occurs.

Travelers can also purchase Ally Crisis Management, which offers coverage of up to $300,000 for immediate personal crisis response and management services in case of crisis events including natural disaster, acts of terrorism, political unrest, disappearance or wrongful detention while traveling outside your home country. Benefits include a personal security exchange crisis response consultant, emergency evacuation costs, relocation travel and accommodation and additional covered expenses and resources.

Both Captum Kidnap and Ransom and Ally Crisis Management plans are priced according to length of trip and destination country.
